On a sunny, Tuesday morning, the empty streets, idleness and awkward serenity of my neighborhood led me into my little world of realizations and…..

Here the thought of life before and after (oh! wait a minute, it’s not over yet!) covid, engulfed me.

Underneath the layer of optimism and vaccinations, there still persists and quite dominantly; the ghosts of uncertainty. Not knowing when these chains of quarantine, which I may as well call “manacles”, will be shattered.

Let me walk u through the appalled changes, humanity has gone through in the past 2 years which seems like an eternity, though. The sudden and painful deaths of masses, food shortages, bombarded hospitals, unemployment, financial crisis, poverty, inequality on a global level coupled with the adverse increase in psychological disorders and depressions, all accentuating an underlying reality- how fragile can life be!

Our anticipations, yearly goals, deadlines, projects, wish lists got changed if not put to the sword.

It is as if the whole world is a train which comes to a halt, jolting the passengers to double check, where their destination is and whether that destination is worth pursuing, which definitely wasn’t hard to decipher in this pandemic. Not only this, the pandemic made us all quadruple check our values, perspectives and priorities.

“It’s been craziness. It’s been eye-opening. It’s been challenging and it’s been rewarding simultaneously”, Said leopard. “But I never could have anticipated it.” And I couldn’t agree more!

Every cloud has a silver lining: the way the world is coping up with this infusion, is a miracle in itself. The flexibility, co-operation and same motive is what is keeping us all alive.

Here I am presenting the changes corona virus has influenced us with:

1. From semi-digital to absolute-digital:

Remote business, education sectors, information sectors (you name it), all have gone online. Now this definitely is working as an antidote to keep us all moving forward but is this worthwhile? –still debatable!

2. Increase in health consciousness:

People are more open to information and educating themselves about basic natural phenomena’s and protection guidelines. Hygiene has been seen to become the top priority as it should’ve been from the very beginning.

3. Work from home:

New opportunities and ways of work have been discovered. The comfort of home coupled with smart work may prove to be more productive and effective. On the contrary it can be argued that the aura and “work-vibe” has vanished! Not good for the non-creatives, though!

4. A distorted sense of time:

In a study by ogden-“during the UK s 2nd lockdown, this winter roughly 40% of respondents sensed that time was passing more slowly than usual. And the other 40% felt it was moving faster”

Now with more or less things to do, the philosophy of time management needs to be changed or manipulated, I suspect!

5. Renewed relationships:

To treasure family members, friends and even the neighbor whom you were avoiding, is ringing the bells even louder. This seems to be an EQ realization and strengthening reminder. Not only the relationship with humans, but also the nature, technology, oneself and the world as a whole has come under question.

6. Entertainment:

Tiktoks big moment and you tube careers have taken a tremendous increment. It’s both about the production and consumption. The effects definitely are dependent upon the quality and quantity of content, along with the spirit or the intention, either is it meaningful or merely for the sake of time-killing.

Life never stops so shouldn’t you!

Here are some suggestions to see and avail the blessing in disguise: You got ample time!

 Watch your favorite show

 Learn a new language_ (spark up your resume)

 Start freelancing_ (sell what u know)

 Game nights, fun with family members

 You-tubing_ (maybe u have something that the world needs!)

 Get crafty_ (bring your pinterest boards and saved DIYs to life!)

 Spring clean_ (organize and reset your immediate surroundings, make them a reflection you!)

 New hobby_ (those awaited gardening, painting, cooking plans are yelling — EXECUTIONNN!!!!)

 Start journaling_ (store and analyze your thoughts)

 Study_ (self-learn new skills and maybe that astrophysics concepts you’ve been longing to dwell into)

 Reading challenges_ (the books waiting on your book shelves, recommended by your friends or waiting in your read later list, are calling u!)

 Meditate_ (brain dump cleanse! Oh yeah, who doesn’t needs that!)

To encapsulate it all, put yourselves together and strive to be better. This pandemic of everything else is,

A golden opportunity to re-consider, re-do, re-evaluate and re-live.

Invest in yourself and outgrow the shackles because this is exactly what our heroes and our history has been teaching us all along. Now is the time for action, getting the reins of our lives back in our hands and actually living because everything aside, one thing that has been made quite clear is: life is short!

So,

DO ALL U CAN DO AND

DO THE BEST U CAN DO!
